Spanish in Hand is meant to be a solid introduction to the Spanish language. At the moment the app has 270 lessons. Each lesson is composed of two pages. The first page has a section of English text with a button to play the text in Spanish. The second page has the text in Spanish, a literal translation of the text and a section of commentary. As well there is a button to play the same recording. The first 200 recordings have been made by a native Spanish speaker from Bolivia. The app includes Spanish text and audio from Don Quixote (Don Quijote de La Mancha), Treasure Island (La isla del tesoro), and a story by the Mexican writer Carlos Fuentes.
